Yes. A Welcome Packet is being sent to each primary accountholder at HomeStar Bank. This will be mailed on September 18 and should arrive in your mailbox soon after.

Your Welcome Packet is being mailed to primary accountholders on September 18, 2019. Additionally, information about your Mortgage servicing and payments is being mailed on October 3, 2019.

Accounts and systems currently at HomeStar Bank will convert beginning at 5 PM, Friday October 18. The conversion of your accounts will complete on October 20. On Monday, October 21, you should have full access to your accounts when using Online Banking, Mobile Banking, Text Banking, or using an ATM.

HomeStar branches will be closed beginning Friday, October 18 at 5 PM and will open as Midland on Monday, October 21 during normal hours of operation.

Please continue to use your debit card, visit an ATM, or write checks during conversion weekend. Mobile banking, online banking, and telephone banking will not be available while your accounts are switching over to Midland.

Account activity will not be available within online banking, mobile banking, and telephone banking until the conversion is complete, since these services will not be available until Monday, October 21. Weekend transactions will be available to view on Tuesday, October 22. Please see the Conversion at a Glance for full details concerning the conversion weekend.

Because weekend transactions will not be reflected in your balance until Tuesday, October 22, we recommend you track your deposits and spending closely during the weekend. This will prevent potential problems balancing your accounts.

On or after October 21, you can activate your debit card using any of the three ways below:

  1. Call 1-833-553-2942
  2. Go to an ATM and conduct a PIN based transaction using your new Midland card
  3. Make a purchase with a PIN based transaction using your new Midland card

There should be no interruption or issues with receiving your government direct deposit, including Social Security. Upon receipt of your direct deposit, we notify all entities concerning the new routing number and account information to ensure you are not impacted by the change. However, sometimes the Government may experience a delay in changing the routing number, or they require you (the benefactor of the deposit) to visit a Social Security Office and personally request a change.

We do recommend you contact the Social Security Administration and provide them with our routing number so that automated deposits continue without interruption.

  • Midland States Bank’s Routing Number: 081204540

Yes. Multiple letters are being sent to primary accountholders depending on the type of account you have.

HomeStar Trust Services: In addition to the initial merger communication in July, customers were sent a Welcome mailer on September 18th and will also receive a reminder communication on October 1st related to the general transition to Midland Wealth Management. Further details on the conversion of any accounts will be sent in the coming months.

HomeStar Wealth Strategies/Raymond James: In addition to the intial merger communication in July, customers with Raymond James accounts will receive a reminder communication on October 1st on the general transition to Midland Wealth Management and website access. There are no impacts to your Raymond James account(s).

HomeStar to Midland Conversion weekend begins Friday, October 18. 

  • Remember to bring alternative payment resources with you when traveling or paying for items during conversion weekend.
  • Online Bill Payment conversion began October 11. Scheduled bills will continue to be paid.
  • Friday, October 18 at 4 PM, Online Banking will be disabled and conversion will begin.
  • Friday, October 18 at 5 PM, HomeStar branches will close for conversion.
  • Balance details will not be available during conversion weekend.
